My ADSL speed is 256 kbps and when I download anything, the speed is only 4.0 kB/s (40 kbps). Why is this so? Where does the rest of 216 kbps go??? I used to have cable broadband and then when we switched to Verizon, we had to get DSL because FiOS was not available in my area. Was going to DSL a good idea or were we better off with cable? I can always switch back to the cable, I didn't cancel yet.... read more
